Introducing our JC sandal with a little more sole!!!

We have added some arch and heel support, the original non skid soul, to make sandal a little different then the rest, not better just different. Our JC sandal with soul, provides you arch and heel support, the ability to walk anywhere. This is more of a comfort long distance sandal. We are making them here, using some original vintage sandal making machinery (you know, the old machines they left here before they all moved), mixed with the state of the art sole making capabilities.

The price for this sandal is $48, for now. Handmade from start to finish. These sandals have been well received, so we have finished almost the complete size run. Womens 6 through mens 13. We have all these sizes in stock now. Read below for a little more detail.

This is project I undertook on and off over the past 7 years, in my quest to make the perfect sandal. I still believe our original sandal to be of perfect design for many lifestyles, however I wanted a sandal that everyone on the planet could wear, and really love. 7 years ago I made the jcxt, which consisted of a painted on rubber sole, which I liked but didn’t last very long, so I cut it. Then I worked with a company, that was making 100% recycled mats, which I attempted to use as a sole, that one didn’t work- I wanted the recycled aspect, and dropped it after I realized that the technology just wasn’t there to make it work. Then I went to recycled tires on the bottom, the problem was the sandal lost the flexibility which is one if its best points, and the glue was pretty gross. After another round of putting some rubbers on the bottom, and finding some glues that had a low voc content, and finding some part rubber/eva soles that manufactures held strong environmental standards, we went at it again. We tried all sorts of rubber/eva and mid arch supports to find the perfect combination. I found what I really liked, and everybody else on our team as well. The sole on the bottom is the original non skid sole, super soft- adding a little cushion, and durable. In between the sole and the sandal we included an arch/heel support, which I picked over just a regular arch support after doing some research on low back pain and bone structure- again because I wanted a sandal everybody could wear. We went with the added heel support. We have spent the last few years developing and finding a glue that works to our satisfaction and has low voc content. So our sandals are super comfy, I still wear our original quite a lot, but this one works in the rain, and for long distant standing. We are making/finishing them here, which gives some more folks some work, and they are available now!! I gurantee if you really dig our original sandal, you need this one too!!!
