and the rains came, and they didn't stop. most just tried to find higher ground. those who got in before the rains came. fortunately the men with white coats who came didn't take anyone to the flight deck.

and in came the wood chips, i can't even take a guess at how many souls of trees that came. i saw atleast 7 trailers, and i know there was more. and yes chopped up trees to save the day. one of the coolest things i have seen in years, everybody working together making it happen. this is unity.
  swamp mix everybody helps

that would be Ms. Taylor Swope aka www.littlehippie.com, we'll forgive her for wearing combat boots. another one of those of us who decided to make a company out of our lifestyle. it's getting toward the season of giving, and if you know anybody who has a kid, supporting a non-corporate business such as hers is a great way to keep it in the family.

little by little our world became wood. just for the record using nothing bigger than the containers show, one whole tractor trailer was emptied in 42 minutes. hippy power.

that's smilin Ben Jammin, often found at festivals at the HomeGrown Music tent. just in case you don't know where to get cd's you should visit our buddies at www.homegrownmusic.net. numerous wood chips later, then its just another day on shakedown. thanks to all the positive vibes from everyone, our experience was excellent- hope yours was too.
more pics swampy
after a hard days work making a wood floor in the Homegrown/Nomadic tent, Ben needed a nap, and with the evil grin in the back is Robbie from Homegrown Music Network. if you do visit the homegrown site you should ask how Ben likes worms. check out his feet-that's knee deep. looking at this photo now, i can see where the "don'' feed the gators" sign comes from.
what a view who is that yellow shirted beast?
our buddy pete, one of those who walked miles to get in, taking a well deserved nap. thanks for the help for the weekend pete. then came the wood crates. for a while our world was all about forest depletion.
they brought in huge machinery to dig up the many people that got swallowed into the land down under. pete, chris, robbie, jacob, and our home for the weekend. hope your home was as dry as ours.
got to bust out a little cheesey advertising anyway. machine washable, bleachable, handmade. seriously though, i do hope us being there helped out some sore feet for the weekend. peace.love.good times. see ya out there..
